The included slide-out ramp lets you roll bikes into place rather than lift them, turning what used to be an awkward two-person job into a smooth solo process. You can even get your kids to do it. Bonus!
The STOWAWAY E-Glide Pro 2 comes equipped with all the standard tie-down features you’d expect. It uses ratcheting wheel straps on both the front and rear wheels, along with a vertical frame attachment—each lined with thick rubber to protect your frame and rims. The vertical post also features a highly adjustable head that rotates to find the ideal contact point, so you’re never forced to clamp onto a single fixed area of the bike.
The STOWAWAY E-Glide Pro 2 is surprisingly light, so you can carry it around with relative ease. There is no need for a special trolley to move it around. No more struggling around the car trying to avoid scratching the body work or worse, pulling a back muscle.
What we really liked about the ball-hitch setup is the extra ground clearance it provides. This is especially important for vehicles without a high-rise off-road suspension. If you’re driving a regular SUV, you’ll definitely appreciate the added ground clearance—we certainly did.
We did only have one concern, and that was the lack of wheel braces front and rear of the bike. However, we have been using the Stowaway E-Glide Pro 2 for about 3 months and have not had any issues with the bikes moving out of the ordinary. This may concern users at first, but as long as the straps are done up correctly, taking out all the slack by using the correct angle, then the bikes will stay in place.
A foot pedal tilt system allows access to your boot without removing anything—a game-changer for road trips and shuttle days. Remove the bikes, and the boot is accessible without needing to tilt the rack at all.
Once mounted, the rack is super-easy to live with, folding down neatly when not in use for simpler handling and storage—ideal for garages or tight car spaces.
